  • Sir William Russell

    FORMER LORD MAYOR OF LONDON

    Sir William is a financier with over thirty years’ experience in the City having worked for First Boston, Merrill Lynch and CDAM. He was elected as Lord Mayor of London in 2019 and was re-elected in 2020 for his services during the pandemic, becoming the first Lord Mayor to serve a second term since 1861. He currently sits on the Board for Innovative Finance and is a co-founder and Chair of Knightsbridge School.

  • Professor Jon Gluyas

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, DURHAM ENERGY INSTITUTE

    Jon Gluyas is the Dean of Knowledge Exchange at Durham University and is an Executive Director of the Durham Energy Institute. He spent over 20 years working in the petroleum industry, helping to co-found two oil companies, before moving to academia. He is currently the Ørsted/Ikon Chair in Geoenergy, Carbon Capture and Storage.

  • Professor Harriet Bulkeley

    PROFESSOR OF GEOGRAPHY

    Harriet Bulkeley is an expert in Urban Sustainability and the politics and governance of environmental issues. She currently works with the ReInvent project which aims to decarbonise the meat/dairy, paper, plastic and steel industries. She has published over 50 books and articles on climate governance and the political and social justice issues that arise from environmental concerns.

  • Professor Petra Minerop

    PROFESSOR, INTERNATIONAL LAW

    Petra Minerop is the Academic Lead of Durham University for UNFCCC engagement and climate change and the Director of the Durham Centre for Sustainable Development Law and Policy. She served as a Co-Director of the Durham Global Policy Institute and of the Research Centre for Law and Social Justice. She is a member of the World Commission on Environmental Law, of the Specialist Group on Climate Change and a member of Society of Legal Scholars.

  • Professor Simon Forrest

    PRINCIPAL, COLLEGE OF ST. HILD & ST. BEDE

    Simon Forrest is a Professor in Durham’s Sociology Department having previously served as the Head of the School of Medicine, Pharmacy and Health. He co-chairs the UK’s national network of Behavioural and Social Scientists Teaching in Medicine and has published numerous books and articles on sexual attitudes and behaviour in adolescents.

  • Professor Mike Bentley

    PROFESSOR OF GEOGRAPHY

    Mike Bentley is an expert on Antarctic environmental history with a particular interest in Antarctica’s ice sheets. He is the convenor of the Introduction to Climate Change module at Durham University and has published countless articles on Antarctic and South American glacial and environmental history.

  • Professor Glenn McGregor

    PRINCIPAL, USTINOV COLLEGE

    Glenn McGregor is Professor of Climatology in the Department of Geography at Durham. He is an expert on Synoptic Climatology, Biometeorology, Hydroclimatology and Climate and Society Interactions. He has published several chapters and articles on the human impact of extreme weather including the impact of global temperature on health.
